1. Using Optical Sensors to Make N Recommendations for Sorghum, Wheat and Corn in Kansas

Efforts were begun in 2005 focused on developi ng sensor based N recommendations for grain sorghum ( Sorghum bicolor L. Moench), winter wheat ( Triticum aestivum L) and corn (Zea mays L.). The objective of these studies was to develop sensor based mid-season N recommendations using active crop sensors currently available on the commercial market.
