Organic Nutrient And Weed Management With Sweet Corn On Sandy SoilThe Central Sands region of Wisconsin is host to commercial-scale vegetable production, requiring intense nitrogen (N) fertilization. The limited nutrient holding capacity and minimal organic matter content of sandy soils in the Central Sands contributes to water nitrate contamination.
